Death Squad

It is getting to the place that it is getting harder and harder to tell the difference between those who are supposed to protect you and the criminal element that wants to harm you. We need the police to protect our communities but what we don't need is those whose only desire to apply for the position is to obtain a license to kill our citizens, use excessive force, or brutalize them, especially, those in the minority communities and get away with it.

Age doesn't seem to matter as far as the victims of police brutality go, they range from elderly to preteen. Gender doesn't matter either, nor do physical disabilities seem to matter. Nor does it make a difference if they are police themselves doing their job and pursuing criminals. One thing all the victims seem to have in common is the color of their skin, with the exception of one of the victims in this post who happens to be gay.

Violence is no stranger in the black community nor is it in any other community. However, other communities do not have to deal with criminal and police violence as a package deal committed on their citizens. Scepticism has grown in the black community along with fear of the police because of those who prey on the people in their community wearing a badge of racism and biases instead of a badge of honor.

How long will police brutality fester in minority neighborhoods before the mayors of our cities get the message? A serious overhaul, evaluation, cultural diversity training, regular psych anxiety evaluation testing of present and future men and women on the police force needs to be done to weed out those whose only desire is to kill and maim minorities. We need the police. It is a job of honor and bravery. However, what we don't need on our police force are paid terrorists.

Police men and perhaps women too, tend to be poor prospects for both marriage and credit worthiness. Some of the stats for these comments are just anecdotal, not hard and fast. But there are some personalities that are not good that are attracted to the advantages of projecting their personalites with a police badge.

Some officers are attracted to the force to protect and serve; some are attracted to compensate for their low self-esteem.

They believe that the uniform will give them what their own efforts cannot command--power and self-respect.

Police are the last I summon when something goes awry.

They Bogart their way in, and do more damage than the situation warrants.

Lady Cracker thank you for coming by and checking my blog out.

The night Oscar grant was murdered by the police, one of my nephews was on that BART train that was sitting still and watched the whole thing. He was taping it on his mini camcorder and texting my granddaughter and niece telling them about it while it was in progress. When it was discussed on Field's blog, I already knew about the degoratory slurs and how they were treating the passengers and people in the BART that night. I knew that was gonna come out. My nephew said that even the old people on the BART were hotter than fish grease at the BART police, white, black, asian. It was a lot that went on that night and I suspect it will be coming out in the future too.

My nephew told me what happened and from what he told me, Oscar wasn't the only one that they were calling derogatory slurs or abusing that night. He told me tht people were crying and the BART station was in a uproar that night.
