The Apple Don't Fall Too Far From the Tree

Father and son both have antebellum views concerning black people. Yup! Talk about longing for the old days, well...the Pauls don't believe in Civil Rights for minorities. Rand Paul believes that private businesses should be allowed to discriminate against minorities if they choose too. Seeing how many jobs are in the private sector, most restaurants, housing rentals, as well as stores are privately owned that leaves only government and public places that blacks should be allowed.

Will Rand Paul be suggesting to dismantle the Civil Rights Laws altogether next? How can a person run for a public servant office representing "the people" when he feels that "the people" only means people of a certain color-white only? Yet and still he claims to believe in Civil Rights and that discrimination is wrong. That is straight up BS! You don't straddle the fence on Civil Rights. Your either for them all the way or not at all. There is no half way regarding discrimination and Civil Rights.

Paul even went on to compare the right to bring a gun in public place to Civil Rights, which I found rather odd seeing how guns kill people and Civil Rights grant people human rights. What does a person need a gun for to go into a restaurant to eat. I mean it is not like they have to kill the food that they order first. Guns should be for hunting and that is the bottom line. However, some people think that we should go back to the days of "Gunsmoke" and be able to pack a gun in a side holster like they did in the Wild Wild West days.

Apparently, that is not the only thing that Rand Paul believes needs to be done to make America more suitable to whites like him taste.

I've been warning people about Ron Paul for a while now. Now, it looks like not only should people be keeping a eye on Ron but they should keep an eye on his son Rand too because the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. We already know Ron Paul's views on black people. I'm sure he taught his son everything he knows, including his hatred for black people.

Rand Paul wants to say that this is a freedom of expression issue, a First Amendment protection issue, to tell a private owner of a business that s/he can't discriminate against a member of the public.

And that's where the logic of his argument fails. It fails in many ways, but in this one way it fails miserably.

A business owners opens his business to the public, but he wishes to reserve the right to define who that public is.

A business is either public or it's private. If its private, membership is by invitation only. If it's public, all are welcome: men, women, children, black, brown, gays, straights, or what have you.

Rand seems to want it both ways, public and private.

You're right about the apple not falling far from the tree. In the case of Rand and Ron, America could do without these two chestnuts.

The Pauls are some dangerous people.

Not only that, what Texas is trying to do with history books needs to be nipped in the bud. And people need to stand up and fight against what is going on in Arizona as well. The Pauls, Texas, and Arizona are some dangerous movements that will destroy what democracy and freedom stands for and cause this country to divide more than it is now. In fact, it will shred it to pieces. America will never be the same if the people don't stand up and fight back hard.

The sooner the better!

They say that they want to remove the liberal bias in these textbooks.

What liberal bias?

They want merely to rewrite history--that McCarthyism was good, as American as apple pie, that the Civil War wasn't about slavery, but states' rights, and that the president's full name, Barack Hussein Obama, should be written wherever he's referenced.

They not only want to re-write history, but to turn the clock back to the Glory Days of white supremacy.

We knew that some would go kicking and screaming, but it makes you wonder what's next in line for their revisionist fervor.

We need to brace ourselves for a whole new round of stupidity, once the congress consents to taking up comprehensive immigration reform.

When comprehensive immigration reform comes up, like that old saying goes, "You ain't seen nothing yet." They're going to show their natural born behind.

Granny, I agree!

Rand Paul is right up there with Rush, full of nonsense, but still some people are believers of this stuff, which does pose a very dangerous position, anger, and frustration are sure to mount in the coming months if these putrid spouts are not challenged with real truth, thanks for this post.

I agree with you too. There are still some people who are believers of that type of thought and it is sad.

I pray that it doesn't evolve into violence because it is always the innocent and unsuspecting souls that wind up hurt. In addition, it will tear this country to shreds and it will never be the same.

It is no that hard to get along with people and live in peace together. However, there will always be those few that like to stir up mess and keep it going.

America is beginning to remind me of El Salvador, their history of turmoil and struggles over power between the rich and poor and right vs left political party. If it comes to that where will Americans flee to?

"American children are behind other industrialized nations in math and science, and all those whack jobs care about is trying to white wash history."

That is the truth there! Matter of fact, we are way down at the bottom of the list. Last time I checked back in 2000, third world countries were way higher on the list than America. You know that's sad! We got to do better.

He's been back in the news since you wrote this. The man is seriously letting every white bigot in the country that he's their guy.

This time, Rand Paul, "The Constitutionalist", wants to trash the 14th Amendment so the
US will stop giving citizenship to illegal aliens.

Weirdly, he gave this interview with Russian TV.
