SILLY SEASON!

I don't remember anyone in the black community giving Rush Limbaugh any honorary brotha recognition.  Evidently, that Oxycontin has him thinking that he can define who is black and who isn't. Instead he should be rushing out to the nearest Weight Watchers to reduce that fat that he passes off as his brain instead of assuming that he can define who is a real black man and who isn't.

Rush had the audacity to say that President Obama is not a real black man and that Herman Cain is a real black man.  What Rush  subtly implied is that President Obama is not a true American, he is somehow hint, hint...a foreigner.  Smh!
I've always had a sneaking suspicion the Bill O'Reilly was an arrogant doofus without a clue, but now without a doubt, he has proved it with his statement, "That African Americans have been brainwashed by "welfare entitlements" to vote for Democrats."  I hate to be the one to rain on O'Reilly's parade, but  blacks stopped getting welfare entitlements when Bill Clinton was President.

I guess, O'Reilly's small mind has  a problem connecting the dots and figuring out that  the hatemongers such as the Jim Crow TeaNuts, Council of Conservative Citizens, FAIR, neo-Nazis and other hate groups might have something to do with it.  And that Republicans parading out one or two ass-kissing, yes massa, black men does not all of a sudden convince black folks to vote for Republicans.

Nor do I think that patronizing Sylvia's, a black restaurant one time, and his wife being laid in the past by Flava Flav, a black man qualifies O'Reilly as an expert on the psychology of black folks.  Truthfully speaking, O'Reilly should  focused in on getting his business straight on his home front, instead of always trying to dip his big nose into black folk's business.

Let's not forget about the Grand Wizard of the KKK, Pat Buchanan who agrees with overseer  Herman Cain comment about blacks being brainwashed.  Why are we black folks not surprised since ole Pat has expressed in the past that he pretty much believes the Bell Curve Theory.  Moreover,  Pat, thinks that blacks should be grateful for slavery and years of oppression.

Nevertheless, I'd like to give a shout out to the Wall Street protesters.  In addition, I'd like to give one to the Pelican Bay Protesters who are protesting torture at Pelican Bay Prison.

I've been thinking along those lines as well. Enjoy reading your posts and rarely comment for we're pretty much on the same page with most of your topics.
I'd like to say one thing about Rush's "colored" sidekick who promotes his ignorance. It appears that what most white folks who have superiority complexes need is one "negro" to support their nonsense and bigotry.
For Rush it is James Golden (Bo Snerdley)!

BTW: I feel a movement expanding. I never thought I would witness Airline Pilots in full dress picketing wall street.

Granny, you can say whatever you want about Herman Cain but I am glad he is running. He is the first to offer any solutions to this mess we are in.

I also agree that a large segment of our folks ARE brain-washed, and therefore very close-minded to anything new. As far as I am concerned, the Dems are losers and they let us down, terribly...esp the Obamas.

Thanks Carolyn! I understand and can relate to what you're saying because I do the same thing a lot of times when I make my rounds to visit different blogs.

Granny, what have I been missing out on; as a perceived progressive, I've never taken welfare.

O'Reilly harps on "entitlements." Entitlements aren't "welfare," as well he knows. The very name suggests that an "entitlement" is something that you're entitled to, such as Social Security, for which most of us have spent years contributing to.

"America has been the best country on earth for black folks."

Granny, I can hardly stop laughing long enough to write this. If Pat knew what I know, he would rethink this self-serving, wrongheaded statement, which says that slavery was better for blacks than it was bad--that our forced servitude was repaid by the blessings of liberty and the wealth of a nation.

Forget the misery of slavery and the brain drain to Africa as millions of blacks died en route to the New World.

He makes me feel poorer for the saying.

He should have consulted American Indians before making that statement. For them, he'd probably say something similar: Their holocaust, and to the brink genocide, gave them Indian Casinos, and the white man's concept of the good life.

Forget the fact that whites stole that which belonged to them as the rightful inhabitants (and owners) of these bountiful lands--an abundance of trees that were shipped to Europe, and the many other natural resources which were taken without payment in return.

I forgot to say: One thing I know--What goes around comes around, and as you sow you reap.

This why I remain unruffled in the midst of their gloating and their seeming success.

A day of reckoning is coming for all those who sow seeds of bigotry, division, and what have.

Pat Buchanan, Rush Limbaugh, and all the others who have made their fortunes peddling and exploiting racial tension, and hatred--will, one day, find themselves on the scales of justice, and learning just how woefully they're wanting.

If you live by the sword, you die by the sword.

But then, you already know all of this.

Amen to that! Their day is truly coming, remember Hal Turner thought he was untouchable too, but he was proven wrong.

You say on your stupid racist blog that "Rick Perry A Confederate Bigot Who Wants To Be President of the USA
Public Enemy No 1 of Black Community"

What a Fucking racist PIG you are for saying something like that.
You are your own worst enemy and you don't even know it. And yet you preach about racism.

    GrannyStandingforTruth said...

Casey, when Barack Obama was elected President, Perry was one of the first that wanted to secede from the union, don't think for a minute that blacks do not know what he means by "states rights". BTW, no one is holding a gun to your head making you read my blog,so you can feel free to take your behind elsewhere. I won't stop you from leaving.

You're making a federal Casey out of nothing.

Over the top, even for an obvious Republican blowhard, one trolling the web to counter perceived threats to Rick's gubernatorial image and presidential aspirations, by protecting his supposed immaculate reputation, and sterling character--two things that Perry clearly doesn't deserve--while revealing, at the same time, just how truly ugly, and disrespectful his blind supporters can be, with little or no provocation.

With supporters like you, who need enemies.

I don't usually respond to the ramblings of those clearly in need of physiological intervention, but I'm feeling a bit magnanimous today, with the day being Sunday and all.

One at a time: "Rick Perry A Confederate Bigot...."

Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that.

"There's a lot of different scenarios," Perry said. "We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we're a pretty independent lot to boot." [...]

"He said when Texas entered the union in 1845 it was with the understanding it could pull out."

It's call having it both ways--issuing the threat of a secession (a Confederate sentiment) while praising the Union.

Score 1 for Granny and 0 for you.

It's obvious he's running for the presidency, so we can skip that one, and move to the next one:

"Public Enemy No 1 of Black Community...."

Read what some of Perry's black constituents have to say:

Residents speaking to the AFRO about Gov. Perry were largely in agreement, citing unemployment, substandard jobs and a failing public education system among the governor's biggest shortcomings. "I haven't seen him try to create any jobs for people or anything," said Texas native Regina Holley, 53. "I don't think he's done anything that's worked out well for Texas."

Charles Dorsey, 62 and a Texan for 35 years, said many of the jobs being created don't even pay minimum wage, adding, "Texas has the lowest average hourly income of any state in the United States other than Mississippi. I think people need to understand the type of jobs being created."

Along with the unemployment and jobs situation in the state, native Texan Ronni Bowman, third year student at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, referenced the large number of residents without health insurance.

Saying that he panders to special interests, Melanie Spratt-Anderson, the first Black and three-term Upton County attorney, said Perry's only interest in health care came in the form of a 2007 executive order to inoculate girls, by the sixth grade, with Merck's Gardasil while at the same time refusing to sign legislation to renew the Children's Health Insurance Program. The state legislature was able to stop this action and Perry's connections to Merck were under scrutiny. She said, "Anybody that has enough money to contribute to him, will get what they pay for."

You really should consider getting professional help: Anger management may be in order, or some other needed intervention. Your response didn't equal the perceived threat, nor did it call for your unwarranted attack on Granny.

An attack is a call for help!

All I can feel right now is pity, not disgust (as you would have possibly preferred), and disappointment in the human condition that continually blinds people to an assessment of the reality that looms right in front of them.

You have eyes, but you can't see.

Granny, you are dead WRONG about Pat Buchannan, he is an ok person. He merely spoke the truth that Herman Cain said. A lot of us have been brain-washed and you know it. I have never seen so many brainwashed Negroes in my life until I moved to the Bay Area.

Not only do you have to fight the Whites as a bm, I have to fight the Blacks too.

    GrannyStandingforTruth said...

Speak for yourself because you certainly do not speak for me or many other black people. Only a weak-minded person can be brainwashed. Saying that blacks are brainwashed is a subtle form of that old antebellum way of thinking that implies that blacks are these "docile" creatures that need to be supervised and guided by white paternalism. In addition, that blacks are incompetent or incapable of thinking for themselves or thinking at all. That's not true! No one group of people have a patent or copyright on intelligence. And frankly speaking, that was ignorance on Cain's part to claim that brainwash bulldung, does he believe in the Bell curve theory too? Smh!

dear granny, some of the brightest people in the world have been brainwashed. The Germans during WWII were brainwashed by Hitler. It happens to the best of us and to be defensive of the truth about us is to perpetuate the problem. You have to be able to identify the problem before you can change it.

Yes, in America, Blacks have been brainwashed politically so much that they think one-dimensionally. One doesn't have to be a supporter of Herman Cain to know that. It's plain as day.

fyi, in the bay area blacks don't support blacks. as a matter of fact, they are afraid to help each other. even on the campus of cal, brainwashed black students help out in the bake sale against blacks.

I went to the bake sale, and guess what? very few blacks were there to protest. just goes to show how we feel about ourselves in the bay area. it's very sad.

    GrannyStandingforTruth said...

Those black students that helped out were Republicans! By blacks not showing up at the bake sale, that was in itself a form of protest because they did not show up to support it. The flyer sorta of gave an ultimatum, if you don't come...

    GrannyStandingforTruth said...

Btw, did you go to protest it? If so, did you take a protest sign with you?

This certainly looks like black students protesting to me:

You're right: It appears to be more than the ravages of old age. Life is the biggest trickster of all.

You have to affirm Life, if you wish Life to affirm you.

"And look no chocolate cupcakes. Smh!"

They were probably too tempting, and were devoured before they could be showed off.
