So you think these rabid-bigoted-assholes protesting the mosque at ground zero aren't racist? Wanna see how racial profiling works? Yeah, pay attention Arizona! OK, watch the following video and check out how the mob converges on a black man walking through the crowd who they assumed to be Muslim.
A man who as it turns out, actually is a union carpenter who works at ground zero, who is not a Muslim. But I suppose it wasn't a good idea to be of a dark hue and wear a white kufi-like hat on your head, and try to go to fucking work when they're idiots around who are bent of shape denying the right to religious freedom.
Yep, and did you catch the, "he must've voted for Obama," lined blurted out by one of the protesters? This fucking country is insane! But I suppose just like the racial and homophobic slurs tossed out at congressional members walking in to vote on health care reform several months ago, none of this actually happened.
This from the guy who filmed the video, lefthandedart:
A man walks through the crowd at the Ground Zero protest and is mistaken as a Muslim. The crowd turns on him and confronts him. The man in the blue hard hat calls him a coward and tries to fight him. The tall man who I think was one of the organizers tried to get between the two men. Later I caught up with the man who's name is Kenny. He is a Union carpenter who works at Ground Zero. We discussed what a scary moment that was for him. I told him that I hoped it did not ruin his day.
I tell you what: I'd love to see them try and run up on Farrakhan like that.

Granny people are going to try and make this go viral, I'll do my share.
What black person would support these bigots while they trash the constitution?
Someone stated it aptly: "Today it's Muslims. Tomorrow it may be blacks."
The only thing between them and us is that piece of paper. And right now, it's on tenuous grounds.
The angry crowd looked like what we'd expect from a lynch mob. Muslim is, indeed, not only the "new black," but the "new nigga."

I thought this was America land of the free and home of the brave, with justice and liberty for all. Therefore, he should be able to wear whatever he chooses to wear and whereever he chooses to wear it.
My oldest brother wears a skull cap and he has a ministry in a Christian church. So, does that mean if he happens to live in N.Y., and walks near Ground Zero, he should be mobbed? How would that look after all, so-called Christians mobbing or even killing another Christian because he wore a skull cap? Fear is a monster, yes it is!
According to your comment, anyone who wears a skull cap shouldn't wear the cap of their choice in the land of the free. So has it come to that, where people will start dictating what folks should wear too?

That's where you have made a mistake. Since when was this the land of the free for Blacks? There has been progress since the Jim Crow days. But having seen and lived during those days, I would say America is not free yet. Racism and discrimination is still very much alive!
So, imo, any black person wearing a skull cap at Ground Zero that makes him look like he COULD be Muslim is taking a risk with his life.
Granny, it's not what SHOULD be, but what ACTUALLY is, that is important.

I totally agree with your comment. And I too lived through and seen those days of Jim Crow.
