Are Americans Plum Crazy?

Either Americans are plum crazy or the news media is deceiving the people.  There is no way in the world that people in their right mind that if a snake bite them once that they would want it to bite them again. That just isn't logical I don't care how you look at it.

Nevertheless, I've been keeping a close eye on the polls over at Hufffingtonpost.  What's strange is for some reason the numbers next to the Democrat candidate has not changed one point since I first begin keeping an eye on them a few weeks ago.  However, the majority of people say that they are voting for Democrats in the midterm. One or two people say that they are voting for Republicans.  Okay, so how is that all the polls are showing that Republicans are leading in the House?  That's where the bills are first brought to the floor and they propose new laws. In addition, that is where a bill is killed before it even reaches the Senate. Do folks really want to hand over the House to the Party of  "NO."

After all, who in their right mind would want to vote for a party that wants to steal grandma and grandpa's check and close down public schools so that millions of little Susies and Tommies can stay at home seven days a week?  Or a party that intends to cut minimum wages, outsourced jobs, and cause the low-income and middleclass to have a turf war over cardboard  boxes space under some freeway underpath in America? Okay, I'm just kidding about the turf war over cardboard boxes space, but then...the way this country will be headed if the GOP gets back in control you never know that might become a reality.

Let me just summed up what the GOP party wants to do:

1) Abolish minimum wage laws which would force American workers to work for less pay
2) Block unemployment benefits forcing millions of Americans to literally starve
3) Slash Social Security benefits-even up to half of what they are now forcing senior citizens to literally starve
4) Gut Medicare funding
5) Gut Medicaid funding
6) Abolish Department of Education
7) Abolish Department of Energy
8) Abolish the Veteran's Administration
9) Cut much state financial aid needed to avoid massive layoffs of teachers, police, fire, etc.
10) Cut of state aid would have a trickle down effect on local municipalities/suburbs-forcing them to do layoffs of police, fire, as well as close libraries, etc.
11) Will defund various categories of new heath care reform stripping millions of Americans of much needed access to quality health care
12) Will reverse aspects of financial reform to aid corporate/wall street in the continuation of unscrupulous practices against Americans
13) Will extend tax cuts for the richest 2% adding an additional $830 billion more in deficits
14) Will block funding for homeless veterans and homeless women
15) Will disregard the needs of middle America, minorities and the poor
16) Will work toward increased privatization of prisons
17) Will block lending programs/tax breaks for small businesses
18) Will paralyze the Obama administration with endless subpoenas and investigations in hopes of impeaching President Obama
19) Will literally shut down the government by defunding programs
20) Will repeal the 14th amendment which provides citizenship to all people born in the U.S.
21) Will kill cap and trade efforts
22) Will slash food stamp programs
23) Will roll back and repeal equal rights for gays
24) Will privatize Social Security
25) Will cut education spending along with college student aid

Now I ask you is their agenda in behalf of "We the People" or in behalf of corporations and the rich?

I saw this bumper sticker the other day as I drove to Maine:

"Tea Parties are for little girls and their imaginary friends."

LOL!

Who are they polling? The media? That's the only explanation I can offer.

Don't believe the Huffington Post. It's a lying left liberal paper.

The truth is the Republicans and Tea Partiers are leading and will emerge triumphant on Nov2. Surely you already know this?

Your list of "cuts" the GOP wants to do is a little exaggerated but pointed in the right direction. The GOP just wants everyone to be self-sufficient...ie carry their own weight. What's the big deal?

One more thing, Granny. Stay away from trying to disrupt Tea Party rallys. You might get stomped! Tea Partiers are serious people about their country.

LOL! I need to buy that sticker.

I totally agree with you.

"One more thing, Granny. Stay away from trying to disrupt Tea Party rallys. You might get stomped!"

Puleeze! For their safety, they need to stay away from me. Being stomped by them and anyone else for that fact is the least of my worries. Smh!

"The truth is the Republicans and Tea Partiers are leading and will emerge triumphant on Nov2. Surely you already know this?"

Nah, they are not gonna have any Tsunami. It won't turn out like they think.

Justice58:

"It's the media. They're lying liars! They're the ones pumping up the lies for ratings."

Amen! I totally agree with you. Nevertheless, don't forget how they cheated during the Presidential elections by pushing the number of electoral votes up needed to win the nominee and same thing with the polls they are doing at the present. They are trying to suppress voters from coming out. An old dog can't learn new tricks.(paraphrasing that old saying).

"Now they're calling an act of violence against a woman as passion."

That does it! The media has lost their mind. I wonder would they feel it was an act of passion if it would have been their daughter, mother, sister, aunt, or female cousin that more than one man jumped on. That just goes to show you how low the integrity bar has fallen for media.

Granny, did you get my email about 'brother' Boehner?

@Roderick

Yes, I just read it last night and replied. Forgive me, but I am sometimes slow in checking my email.

Has anyone heard about a big Tea Party rally in downtown Oakland this weekend?

If that is true,-Granny, pleeze don't go. I don't want you to get stepped on.

It takes forever to get replies. Granny, they say people run their blogs like they run their lives. Life must be very hard for you.

Is it raining in Oakland?

LOL! You need a hobby or something because it appears that you have too much time on your hands. You need to get out and do something besides staying posted at your computer 24/7 taking out all of that bitterness you have bottled up on the inside of you on others. Don't you realize that is unhealthy, speeds up destruction of the body physically, shortens your days on earth?

BTW, life for me is lovely. I do have a life outside of this blog. If I sat in front of a computer screen 24/7 like you I wouldn't get anything done.

Your constant mention of Oakland nor the TeaNuts faze me one bit!!! Those clumsy so-called militia tactics Rand Paul's teaNuts pulled with Lauren Valle was pitiful and weak. LOL! Yup, they are a disgrace to manhood. Smh! I pray that the Lauren gets the justice she rightly deserves and that she is rewarded a nice financial sum for all what she went through.

Posting on your blog IS my hobby. Waiting for a reply on your blog is like watching paint dry. I see that I am going to have to try some blogs that have action 24/7. Any recommendations?:)

I thought having a blog WAS your hobby? I am old and don't have the energy to run all over the place. I guess you aren't as old as you'd like people to think. Maybe you aren't even fifty?

btw, I am not bitter at anyone. But whether it's unhealthy or not, I can't say. I know a few mean-ass folks who are pushing 100 years.

Strom Thurmond was like that. I thought he would NEVER die. But God works in mysterious ways.

Does anybody know where Granny is? She needs to be more responsible and involved in her OWN blog. For pete's sake, her blog should be one of her priorities.

I knew I shouldn't have started hanging around blogs of this sort...they just aren't that dependable.

Okay, anonymous 4:00 & 4:27:

I see you don't really mean any harm and call yourself having a little fun.

Nevertheless, I am who I say I am. I've remained active, strong, and busy. Try lifting weights, riding a bicycle, and treadmill. Exercise really does work and will give you the energy you need.

Btw, your lengthy list of what the GOP won't stop them from winning by a landslide next week. Michael Steele is right. The GOP has the best to offer.

Granny, for your own sake, try crossing over to the Republican side. You will have less stress and stay heathier longer.

There should be a law prohibiting owning a blog if it takes the blogger to respond a day or two.

Granny, I think that Anonymous is smitten with you--waiting on your replies and everything. LOL

Granny, why won't you answer my comments? Why must you make me suffer like this?

It's good to get a comment here after a few days of dead silence. This blog seems dead.

Even the owner has abandoned it.
