A Change In The Ordinary Order of Today

There are so many people all around us going through  some depressing and rough times.  My heart goes out to those suffering from major ordeals and crisis in this present time because of the economy.  Therefore, I thought I would do something different today.  Instead of writing a comment on  political or  social issues.  I'm taking a break and doing something different.  Today I'm sharing an inspirational video and asking you to share it with someone you know that might be going through a rough time right  now. I pray that each one of you have a joyful, peaceful, and blessed Thanksgiving Holiday, a day to reflect on those things you are thankful for.  Most of all having a roof over our heads, love ones, food in our belly, clothes on our back, health, and strength should be at the top of that list because there are many people in the world that don't have those things.

Granny, great stuff. The video marks the path toward success. We have only to follow the way markers.

How wonderful that we've set aside a national day of thanksgiving.

Yet, thanksgiving is too wondrous a state of mind to give just one day to its development. To obtain full measure nothing short of minute by minute, and hour by hour should be devoted to it.

Permit me to share some wisdom from a book I hold in high esteem. It's called the The Greatest Salesman in the World, by Og Mandino.

Perhaps you've read it, and, if so, consider my reiterations as affirmations.

"I will greet this day with love in my heart. For this is the greatest secret of success in all ventures. Muscle can split a shield and even destroy life but only the unseen power of love can open the hearts of men and until I master this art I will remain no more than a peddler in the market place."

And here's another:

"I will live this day as if it is my last. And what shall I do with this last precious day which remains in my keeping? First, I will seal up its container of life so that not one drop spills upon the sand. I will waste not a moment mourning yesterday's misfortunes, yesterday's defeats, yesterday's aches of the heart, for why should I throw good after bad?"

Thank you all for your kind and uplifting words. Nope, Diaspora I haven't read that one, but I'll add it to my list. As you know I am a bookworm and like a kid in candystore when it comes to bookstores and libraries.

When y'all get a chance check out Redeye's blog. A link to the blog is on my sidebar.

I haven't been feeling well lately. Usually around winter time I'm like a bear and hibernate, I take a break because cold weather does not agree with me. People who have been reading my blog since I started it know that about me.

Nevertheless, I used to blog on a daily basis and had planned to quit blogging because I have quite a few irons in the fire so to speak that are very time consuming. However, I received so many emails from different ones asking me not to stop blogging. So, I made a deal with everyone that I would blog once or twice a month and everyone was okay with that and understands.

Dear Granny, I am sorry you don't feel well. I did not know. I know how the winters can be so I understand. Please take care of yourself and blog whenever you can.
