I WOKE UP THIS MORNING WITH FIRE IN MY BELLY!

I woke up with fire in my belly this morning! The GOP did not win because the people agree with their policies.  They won because people DID NOT SHOW UP at the polls and VOTE. Nevertheless, the GOP is flaunting their win as an rubber stamp from the people which is not true.  Deception from the GOP played a big part in the elections and have been in play every since President Obama ran for the Office of President.

Now that the GOP has won back the house they are showing their true plans for the American people and our President.  They plan to use their victory as a sign that the people are in agreement with them so that they can reward billionaires and millionaires like the Koch Brothers, Rupert Murdoch, Glen Beck, Hannity, and O"Reilly with big fat tax refund checks that will only finish draining our Treasury.  The only concern they have for the middleclass and poor is to drive them into further poverty and turn America into a serfdom and a rich man's paradise.

The GOP did not wait for the elections to cool off before they began letting the people who voted for them know their true intentions and real motive.  However, why is that a surprise to minorities. White bigots have always clung to the notion that a black man cannot lead to bolster their "superiority" myth.

I told Field, I needed a break because I was tired mentally and physically from having too much on my plate.  My body was feeling the fatigue and aching all over from pushing myself day in and day out working on too many projects.  This morning I was reminded that the Lord is my strength and felt a renewed energy.

When the GOP talked about death panels for the elderly, they were referring to themselves.  Making cuts to  the elderly's meager income and medicaid for seniors would be starving seniors to death, limiting their health care, and adding them to the homeless list is a death panel. Think of the elderly in your families who are barely surviving already with the income they have. Seniors don't get a cost of living raise this year nor did they get one last year to keep up with the rising cost of daily living. The GOP wants to cut the seniors basic mandatory survival needs. So, now who is the real death panel?

Those of you who are gay and voted for the GOP well...here is a little tidbit of information for you.  In addition, here is an example of what the GOP really thinks about jobs.  So, tough luck to those of you who are unemployed in Ohio that voted for your new Governor.  To those who didn't vote for him it might be a good idea to start rallying up the people for a recall of your new governor before he does anymore damage. I"m just saying times are hard right now and rejecting 8,000 jobs does not sound like a winner.

Yes, I want President Obama to put his foot down and say NO to GOP policies.  And yes, I want him to stop compromising with those whose only desire is to see him fail.  Nevertheless, I refuse to sit back and let another black man be lynched by a modern day lynch mob.  He told us in the beginning during his victory speech that he couldn't do it alone and he can't.  He cannot fight those who control the media and money alone.  The President asked in the beginning for our help and he really does need it.  Flood the White House with letters to the President and Congress and let your voice be heard loud and clear.  Tell your family, friends, neighbors, and people you come in contact with to the tell the President to say HELL NO to GOP I will not COMPROMISE ANYMORE!  The people have spoken.

That is not what the people want. They want co-operation not more gridlock. You sound restless with blinding resentment and hate.

"I woke up with fire in my belly this morning! The GOP did not win because the people agree with their policies. They won because people DID NOT SHOW UP at the polls and VOTE."

The GOP won because Obama and the Dems weren't doing the job. Otherwise, the GOP wouldn't have stood a chance in winning. But they won BIG, and you can't minimize their win based on no-voting Dems and Blacks.

If you are so fired up, why don't you use some of that fire to motivate Blacks to vote, instead of blaming Republicans? Blacks have a very poor track record when it comes to being 'responsible' voters.

They are the ones you should be furious with.

Granny, thanks for adding me to your blog list. I am honored.

Anonymous-The GOP won because the gop infused, media enabled Tea Baggers, effectivly kept President Obama and the Democrats from doing their job. The gop didn't win big because President Obama and the Democrats weren't doing their job, the gop won big because of fears racist temptation.

I can't wait to see the gop cut spending, cut taxes and repeal health care reform. Wonder what they are going to cut first? Welfare?

PS anon; The American people do want co-operation not gridlock. However I hope and pray the democrats are as effective at gridlock as the gop was when they were in the minority.

I agree Granny. . . but I get so tired sometimes and I'm still at the stage where I just want to bang my head against the wall.
Key point you made. . . when voters are not inspired to go to the polls, the only ones who go en masse are the conservative old white people. But go they did and as a result, they won. We HAVE to quit letting them do that!

Granny, I knew you wouldn't be able to stay away for long because you're a warrior and you care too much about other people unlike your stalker who doesn't have the balls to create a username.

Here in Florida the Republicans want to turn Medicaid into HMO's or vouchers.

Soon-to-be former Rep. Alan Grayson was telling the truth when he stated that Republicans wanted the sick to die and die quickly.

No, I'm honored to add you my list. Red, yup, more than likely welfare will be on the top of the list and any other program that helps the poor and downtrodden. We will have to be their voice and fight hard for them and I plan to do that too. GOP's so-called Christian values are mean-spirited, twisted, and backwards.

SagaciousHillbilly:

I can relate to everything you said and am feeling likewise. We can overcome it though and I have a strategy to win, but I don't want to say it on here. The wrong eyes might see it.

Roderick:

You got me down pat. Alan Grayson is a strong warrior, so was Meeks. I watch CSPAN where you get to see the real deal and not the medias bias version.

The President needs to give both of them and Feingold a position on their team. All three were valuable players. I don't know who is advising the President but whoever it is they need to step up their game because you cannot play softball with the GOP. You have to put on your boxing gloves when dealing with them.

Keith Olbermann will be back Tuesday. I like Keith.

They will move swiftly and deliberately. No grass grows under the feet of Republicans! That's only for Dems.

First will probably be tax cuts across the board for 'everyone', which is fair. Fyi, we are ALL God's children and no should be taxed more than another.

Social Security is on the table, snd so is repeal of healthcare bill that very few, if any, Americans know what's in it.

The thing about Republicans is that they will do what they say. you can count on their word.

Btw, the GOP AND the Tea Party is becoming more and more diverse. Blacks are leaving the Dems!

(Sorry Granny, can't leave it alone)
"Tax cuts across the board for everyone." Taxes are lower now for everyone than they've been in over 60 yrs. How low do you people want them?

"we are ALL God's children and no should be taxed more than another"

Using that logic: We are all God's children and none should make more than another for an honest day's work.
That said, as a high earner (at times), I was always glad to be in the upper tax brackets and glad to contribute my fair share. Republicans are simply greedy and don't care about the rest of god's children.

SS, healthcare are both things that an overwhelming majority of typical Americans want either left alone or increased.
The republicans are trying to convince people that they need to be cut so that the ultra rich can get a bigger slice of the pie. There is a lot of money in those things for the upper 0.5% if SS goes private and healthcare remains totally at the mercy of the corporations.

Blacks leaving the dems for the tea party. . . not many, but yea, and there were Jews who helped the Nazis.

You do what you have to do it's quite alright with me. Besides which, I'm too busy shaking my head at their limited, misguided information.

Some anonymous folks just can't be led to the light and we have to leave blind and in the dark.

Carry on my brother, carry on!

The Democrats aren't particularly good at touting their accomplishments; but I did notice that the pickings at the polls were slim.

I did ,however, see a bunch of toothless Deliverance types lined up and out in force.

Tell the truth! But be careful, you might get attacked on this blog for speaking the truth. People here pretend that there is no funky elephant in the living room.

I've tried to teach these oak-dokey Oaktown folks but folks like Sagacious and Granny aren't interested in reality. No sir. They like keeping their heads in the sand and living a lie.

Speaking of lies, Granny I thought you were leaving the blog scene? Can you explain why you are back and why you even told that lie in the first place? I know. We Negroes shouldn't ask such questions. We should just keep quiet and stay ignorant...right?

Dear Granny, you will be interested to know the GOP is offering a Democratic Senator the opportunity to switch. It looks like that might happen. That is one more vote toward a 50-50 balance in the Senate.

Man, both Blacks AND Whites are switching. The GOP sure knows how to get things done. They are just too smart for the Democrats...too much brain power and courage.
