Nah, The Revolution Won't Be Televised!

Today the so-called bi-partisan committe to reduce the debt came up with a plan to steal grandma and grandpa's check and finish the job of forcing the middleclass to join the homeless population. Will we have to pay property tax on our cardboard boxes under the freeway underpasses? Will we be tax exempt if we file for senior euthanasia?

Excuse my french, but ain't that bout a biscuit. These politicians have lost their pea-brain mind! It is about time for a Million Seniors March on Capitol Hill and tell all seniors to make sure that they bring their walking canes with them so that they can beat some sense into those folks up on Capitol Hill.

Okay, I have a confession to make. Here lately, when I read the so-called brilliant ideas of nitwit politicians I get an urge to pass out size 8 1/2 enemas. There comes a time when you start to wonder to yourself if those folks up on Capitol Hill are intoxicated or if the water fountains around that place need checking or if it is possible that the air vents have been drugged. Smh and singing I shall overcome this urge one day.

Those are the only explanations I can come up with for those folks up on Capitol Hill who keep coming up with some of the most asinine solutions that would make a classroom dummy look like a genius. I've met homeless people and street-wise people on the streets with no education at all that would run circles around some of those folks up on Capitol Hill in the brain department.

I got an idea too, they need to closed down all of those so-called prestigious Universities and throw away the key. That would save them a lot of embarrassment for churning out people like those up on Capitol Hill that apparently have thinking ability that is not worth two dead flies. I'm just saying!

First of all, there is such a thing as supply and demand. If there is no middleclass or poor there is no need to supply the demand because there will no longer be any consumers to buy products and services. Therefore, those that supply the demand will be in the unemployment lines too. Nope, sorry...I forgot those that supply the demand have gotten filthy rich and don't need us consumers anymore. So, that leaves the middleclass and poor in a position of fighting over scraps to survive. It does not take an economist to figure that one out. Welcome to Serfdom of America!

Funny, how the economy is bad, but there are never any suggestions for cuts to the Congress paychecks or retirement or healthcare. Or how they can come up with boat loads of money to run campaigns to get elected, but can't come up with money for the general population. We pay them to rob us!

Yeah when it comes to politicians nothing guarantees you a hand out like already having money and not needing it. And the people who votes this idiots in are insane, who in their right minds would vote for someone who wants to give MONEY to a rich person? Hello they are rich, I don't have a job and they ain trying to work.

If you are rich in a down economy that means you don't need anything at all things are great for you. But hey SOME of the population knows whats best for the rest of us and it's to give those rich folks more dough so they can help us out(yeah right)

I feel ya! There is no way that they should think that they've came up with a workable solution seeing how they left out the RICH folks out of the equation.

Granny,

Good Post. You’re all over it.

Can you believe the rethugs? If this isn’t insane, then I don’t know what insanity really is? What is wrong with these morons? Does anyone in that party have any sense?

Granny,

This is what the teabaggers get for voting these fools back into office. Like CPL stated....there won't be any soup lines to stand in. Do they think these cuts will only affect black people? How can anyone vote against their own interest? SMH!

Dear Ohio,

You get what you vote for. No need to look for a soup line because there won’t be any. No soup line, no unemployment benefits, no food stamps…nada!

Granny, "That's just it, the GOP call themselves inflicting hurt on black people, and don't realize that they're gonna be hurting more of their own then they will black people."

You and SouthernGirl have got it all wrong. You both need better glasses cause you think this is about race, and it is not.

The American people voted the GOP/Tea Party in office because the Dems and Obama weren't cutting it. If they had done their jobs in timely fashion the GOP wouldn't be in power.

This is a new day and a new America. So you might as well get used to it. The GOP is running the show now, and they know how to get their way far better than Obama or the Dems know how. Face it. They KNOW how to get things done.

You may call them brainless or dumb, but they are STILL SMARTER THAN OBAMA AND THE DEMOCRATS. That's why the American people voted for them. They need smarter people in Congress.

Now you think about that the next time you want to call the GOP stupid.

I stand by what I said and I'm not taking it back. Nevertheless, the GOP did not win because of the majority of the people being in agreement with them. The GOP won because all of the President's supporters did not show up and vote.

Anonymous said...

"The GOP won because all of the President's supporters did not show up and vote."

Not true. Those who supported the President voted. Those who did not stayed home.

Granny, sooner or later you have GOT to 'accept' the truth. It's over for Dems.

GrannyStandingforTruth said...

Anonymous 10:24:

Okay, I'll give you the truth. It is over for both the Dem and Rep. People will not want to vote for either party...period. Obama can hang it up if he lets the GOP have that tax-cut, which I believe he is going to do because of poor advice, and the GOP can hang it up because they are for the rich. People are not going to trust politicians ever again, so in essence careers as politicians will be a thing of the past.

Hi Granny this is for your friend Anonymous. The reason the Tea Baggers won is because of hate. billionaires got together and they , health care companies and energy companies want to bleed America dry. As Chris rock says,"a Cracker with a quarter is jealous of a Ni**er with a Nickel". The Koch brothers contrived the Astroturf Tea party to makee more money. How long can poor people sustain supporting the economy and the rich don't contribute? Soon you're going to see poor whites and blacks go after the ultra rich. The violence already happened thanks to Glenn Beck and other racist. What's going to happen when the poor strike back?

GrannyStandingforTruth said...

Hey Kid. Yup, they've done a grave injustice to the people. There are more poor and soon to be poor than there are greedy rich people.

Granny, you treated us to many great lines in this post, but this one is the best: "We pay them to rob us!"

How painfully true, and I'm fed up with it.

Granny, I see the Commission threw a bone to corporations earning outside the United States, and attacking further the middle class, and those eligible for EITC, which I'm thinking are mostly those from single-parent homes.

There are enough cuts to anger just about everybody, but even with those cuts, the government only realizes 4 trillion of deficit reduction through 2020.

Yet, our deficit is already in excess of $13 trillion.[1]

I can't wait to see how the Republicans and the Tea Baggers respond to these recommendations.

[1] As of November 7, 2010, the "Total Public Debt Outstanding" was approximately 95% of annual GDP, ($13.723 Trillion) with the constituent parts of the debt ("Debt held by the Public") being approximately 66% of GDP ($9.14 Trillion) and "Intergovernmental Debt" standing at 34% of GDP. The United States has the 20th highest debt to GDP ratio of all nations, and has the fourth highest of the G8 Nations.

Granny - I think sometime in the next 18 months or so, there is going to be serious "readjustment" economically. The banks and Wall Street got everything they wanted under Bush - building a Perfect Storm of economic failure. The simple fact is, the rules so vastly favor the banks over the consumers that credit defaults are turning an increasing segment of the population into folks who aren't eligible for credit, aren't eligible for jobs (employers use credit scores), and who have no way to dig out.

Wall Street isn't investing in the formation of new companies and growth, it is investing in making money on money. So there is no real growth in jobs.

At some point (soon) this has got to hit the wall,

Granny, I'm LOL every day at the white folks who don't ahve a pot to piss in that voted the Rethugs back in office.

Folks have learned nothing, ada, zilch, zero about voting against their best interest.

White entitlement/racism wins every time. Amazing folks would rather cling to the myth that white is right above all.

Obama needs to fire the Catfood Commission and stop wasting any more tax money on these corporate shills.

We ned to keep asking about these wars. Specifically...

How is it they can magically poop a trillion dollars out of the butts to keep the wars going, but have to relegate old folks to begging in the streets?

And why isn't the Tea Party screaming about how costly and wasteful the wars are? How can the Republicans defund health care and keep the wars going? Why isn't the corporate media calling them out on this double standard?

Well, here's the link that describes what you suspected Obama might do. It didn't take long for Obama to cave in. Like I said before, the Republicans will get what they want. It only took 10 days to get the tax cuts they wanted.

Obama and the Dems are no hindrance to them. That is why Blacks are leaving Dems and joining the Repubs/Tea Party.

You and some of the folks on this blog-like Kid- would do well to consider crossing over for a better life.

Being White is part of an important aspect of their identity. In America racism helps define Whites as being on top. For many Whites, it is a wonderful feeling that they do not want to give up. Even trailer park Whites enjoy it.

Btw, it's that way around the world...except 'maybe' Africa. But even there is a racial problem, although 'color' is not an issue.

Granny, shouldn't it be obvious? The GOP offers FREEDOM for you.

They are a diverse and good people, who offer strong Christian values and virtue, which the Dems know nothing about.

They offer Blacks many opportunities to serve their country with grace and dignity...just ask Michael Steele.

They will not allow "don't ask, don't tell" to be repealed. Our military needs their backing in order to be an effective fighting machine.

Finally, but not least, the GOP/Tea Party is now the heart and soul of our political system.

I would like to see more Blacks such as yourself and some others on your blog, to join your black brothers and sisters who are already in the GOP/Tea Party. They are the future. You might as well join them.

Anonymous said...

Granny, nobody is tossing Michael Steele or Sarah Palin aside. If Bachman doesn't get her first choice she will undoubtedly get another position. The GOP remembers its people, it doesn't throw them under the bus like the WH does.

I don't know what bible you reading, but my KJV told me that Jesus fought in behalf of the poor and downtrodden and NOT the rich. During Barbour's first term there was a proposal to raise the tax on tobacco products and lower the sales tax on food. Of course Barbour was against raising the tax on tobacco since he made millions as a lobbyist for the tobacco industry and the fools still re-elected him.

I live in Florida and just read that Governor-elect Scott paid some of his campaign workers with gift cards instead of cash. This breaks all sorts of labor laws, but I guess we'll see Lt Governor-elect Carroll make a statement explaining away the issues.

Well...you know that's the GOP way. They're the only ones that seem to think that they are above the law. So, most definitely, they'll trot out that old fill in the blanks justifying speech out of their playbook.

First, it is NOT a token position and I don't see why you would diminish Michael Steele's position because he is a Republican.

Secondly, I see that you have a negative comment about the Koch Brothers in your sidebar. You should be careful who you attack, esp when you don't know the facts.
